Ieshia Saunders, a contract worker for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice and Bayskids organization, was arrested on March 15, 2024, following a domestic violence incident. The arrest was made by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Saunders, 41, was charged with Simple Battery (M1) and processed at the Sheriff’s Center. She holds the position of Lead Community Supervision Specialist at Bayskids. The arrest was made after deputies were called to a disturbance at Saunders’ home.
The deputies concluded that Saunders had been involved in a physical altercation with an adult family member, leading to her arrest. This incident has raised questions due to Saunders’ role working with children.
Sheriff Grady Judd voiced his concern, stating that it’s troubling when someone in Saunders’ position is accused of such behavior. He stressed that those working with children are expected to uphold a high standard of conduct.
