New Bethel AME Church under the direction of the Rev. Nathan Mugala, will host a Community Day of Caring on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church is at 2122 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. in Lakeland.
The event will bring together parishioners, community members, and service organizations to offer free food and clothes to individuals who are experiencing homelessness or in need.
There also will be shower stations available on site for use.
New Bethel AME Church has partnered with various community organizations, including The Salvation Army, Barber Skate Shop, 3D Mobile Mammography, and others who will be offering access to their services.
