I want to take a moment to thank everyone who sponsored, volunteered at, and supported the Miss Rose Dynasty 2024 pageant. This year’s was the largest pageant we’ve ever had! Thanks to everyone, we were able to host ten contestants, the most we have ever allowed to compete. We also hosted both new and seasoned drag performers. I am so impressed by what every contestant brought to the table this year and all the hard work everyone put in! With an attendance of 100 people, we raised over $15 thousand for 11 charities.
Moreover, it has been our honor to crown Veronica Foxx as Miss Rose Dynasty 2024! With such a glamorous lineup, the judges had their work cut out for them. Last year’s Miss Rose Dynasty, Juno Vibranz, raised over $20 thousand during her reign and worked so hard with Rose Dynasty and CampOUT throughout the year. We are delighted with all she has accomplished and the mark she has left on our pageant and organization! We will continue to work closely with her.
We also named Vyn Suazion our first-ever Mister Rose Dynasty! Although we surprised him with this award, we could not be more confident in our decision. Despite being unable to host a Mister Rose Dynasty pageant, we still want to spotlight male and gender-nonconforming individuals who embody Rose Dynasty’s mission to love and support others. It is my firm belief that Vyn encapsulates our mission very well. He will work alongside me and Miss Rose Dynasty this year.
Finally, we granted the Purple Rose Community Service Award to Addisyn Mayer, a passionate 10-year-old advocate, activist, Girl Scout, volunteer, and humanitarian! Despite her young age, she meets with political leaders, cleans up waterways and land, and works tirelessly to serve her community! I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the Purple Rose! (Look out, she may be our president one day!)
