More than 1,000 acres on fire and ‘growing’ in Mulberry

A vegetative fire in Mulberry spanned more than 1,000 acres, according to Polk County Fire Rescue.

The fire, located at 3095 Highway 640, is not a threat to any individuals or nearby structures. There are no reported injuries, according to fire crews.
