The rescue’s 4-year-old blind kitty, Jerry, will be having his eye enucleation surgery performed to remove both eyes. When he came to us, he had severe bilateral eye infections causing both globes to rupture. Since his eyes drain and ooze constantly, the decision was made to have them removed to provide Jerry with the comfort he deserves.

Benji had his bilateral eye enucleation surgery in late April and is doing very well. He hates wearing the Cone of Shame but will need to do so for about another week while his incisions heal up. His best friend is his brother, Henri, who is literally his eyes. Benji and Henri are almost always together, they sleep with each other and play constantly. Henri is usually not far from Benji’s side and they can be found curled up together for naps. When Benji is ready for adoption, he and Henri will be paired up together so he will have his “eyes” with him at all times.
