Supervisor of Elections Lori Edwards explained that over 70,000 Polk County voters have been receiving their Vote-by-Mail ballots in the mail. Ballot certificate envelopes must be signed by the voter and returned by 7 pm on August 20th in order to count.
“No stamp is necessary to return the ballot as the return postage is pre-paid,” said Supervisor of Elections Lori Edwards.
Ballots can be mailed or dropped off at Election Headquarters, 250 South Broadway Avenue in Bartow, or dropped off at the Election Operations Center, 70 Florida Citrus Boulevard in Winter Haven. Ballots may also be dropped off at one of the ten convenient Early Voting sites.
