Fire Chief Doug Riley was recognized on July 23 at the annual Executive Development Conference by the Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association for his many years of dedicated service as a board of directors member.
Chief Riley joined the association board in 2018 as the West Central Regional Director. Throughout the years, he has served in several roles, including Secretary/Treasurer, 1st Vice President, and President for two years. Most recently, he finished a one-year term as the Immediate Past President.
While he has now termed off the board, he is honored to have had the opportunity to serve the membership and cherishes the experience and life-long friendships he has made.
Chief Riley reflected on his experience, saying, “It has been an incredible journey and an honor to serve. The Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association is an amazing organization made up of some of the most influential and talented fire service professionals in our great state. I look forward to supporting the organization in any way possible and wish my colleagues the absolute best moving forward.”
