Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire on Foxtown N in Polk City

#PCFR crews were dispatched to a structure fire at 9:39 a.m. Upon arrival at 9:47 a.m., Rescue 7, followed by Squad 7, located a one-story residential structure fire due to an arching power line. PCFR crews worked cautiously yet quickly to put water on the fire after completing an appropriate scene size-up.

Thanks to the crew’s quick and aggressive actions, the fire was completely knocked down at 10:04 a.m. despite the extension into the attic space. There were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire was secondary to a tree falling and a power line.
