Three bread products recalled earlier this year have been given a risk classification by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
In July, Colorado based Izzio Artisan Bakery voluntarily recalled three bread items after they were found to contain small pieces of plastic. The recall has now been given a Class II risk definition by the FDA.
A Class II recall is “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
The following products are subject to the recall:
- Izzio Everything Sourdough. Single 24oz loaf packaged into plastic bag. Lot numbers: 24177A, 24177C, 24186C, 24176A, 24176B, and 24176C. UPC: 65708204040 2.
- Izzio Everything Roll packaged in 12oz plastic bag, 6 rolls per bag. Lot numbers are 24183C and 24183A. UPC: 65708202951 3.
- Aldi Mixed Sourdough loaf. A single 24oz loaf packaged into plastic bag. Lot numbers 24184B, 24183B, 24184C, 24183C, and 24184A. UPC: EVSD 4099100291254
