The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident involving counterfeit money at a 7-Eleven located at 7240 Kathleen Rd in Lakeland. Detectives are working to identify a suspect who is believed to have used fake $20 bills at the convenience store.
The man in question, whose image has been captured on surveillance, was last seen wearing a shirt with the phrase, “Sorry, I’m not great at people-ing.” He was reportedly occupying a silver Ford Expedition at the time of the incident.
