Florida’s Statewide Primary Election is Tuesday, August 20th, and all voters will have the opportunity to vote on important local races. Additionally, voters registered with one of Florida’s major political parties will help nominate the candidates who will represent their party on the General Election ballot in November.
Supervisor of Elections Lori Edwards has some helpful tips for Polk County voters:
· Bring photo and signature ID to the polls to be able to vote.
· The polls are open from 7 am until 7 pm on Election Day.
· A voter may take their sample ballot into the polling room on Election Day.
· A voter who’s address, name, or signature has changed is advised to notify the Elections Office before Election Day.
· Double check your polling location; some have changed for this election. Call the Elections Office at (863) 534-5888 or check online with the Voter Lookup feature at PolkElections.gov.
