Three women allegedly stole more than $3,300 worth of cosmetics from multiple Publix stores in Polk County, according to an arrest affidavit.
Three women entered a Publix on South Florida Avenue in Lakeland on Aug. 16 and placed about $1,050 worth of cosmetics into their purses and then left the store without paying, according to deputies.
The same women were also linked to similar thefts at a Publix on Harden Boulevard in Lakeland and one on Shepherd Road in Mulberry, deputies said. The women reportedly took $614 and $1,712 in cosmetics from those respective stores.
Two of the women were identified as Elena Urucu, 23, and Valentina Titu, 46, according to deputies. The third woman has not been identified.
Urucu and Titu were both charged with retail theft in conjunction with others over $3,000.
