This fall, Southeastern University (SEU) has welcomed its largest number of new students in the university’s history. Encompassing dual enrollment, main campus, online and partner site deliveries, SEU has gained 6,827 new students.
This accompanies a record-breaking total enrollment for the university, with an overall total of 11,763 students — an 11.7% increase from Fall 2023.
“I am so grateful and proud of our staff, as reaching these milestones is truly a testament to the hard work and collaborative efforts made across all departments,” said SEU President Kent Ingle. “This level of growth is especially impressive and unprecedented as higher education sees an overall decline in enrollment. Not to mention the issues many institutions faced across the country as a result of the FAFSA delays.”
SEU has also upheld its ranking as one of the fastest-growing private non-profit institutions in the nation as reported by the Chronicle of Higher Education’s 2024-25 almanac. Ranked second among private, doctoral-level colleges and universities, its position was determined by a 271.6% increase over a 10-year period of enrollment growth data.
In addition, SEU also ranked third in Colleges with the Most Bachelor’s Degrees Conferred by Discipline in the Theology and Religious Vocations category.
