Vehicle 1, a Honda Odyssey, driven by a 61-year-old Gibsonton man, was traveling westbound on Interstate 4. Traveling within the vehicle was a 44-year-old woman, a 24-year-old man, and a 23-year-old man, all from Gibsonton. As the driver approached 21st Street, a freeway sign fell upon the vehicle and caused fatal injuries to the 23-year-old passenger. The remaining occupants suffered the incident unharmed.
