The auction will be hosted by Lakeland-based Kincaid Auction Reality LLC at 10 a.m. on Oct. 14 in the airport’s terminal, 3900 Don Emerson Drive. It is the final step in the legal process of evicting Waco Kitchen from the airport.
Now, all of the items purchased by Waco Kitchen to operate the restaurant from plastic silverware to industrial ovens will be put up in an on-site, oral bid auction. There is no minimum bid, Airport Director Kris Hallstrand said, all fixtures and equipment not physically attached to the building will be sold to the highest bidder.
Here’s a list of some of the major items that are to be auctioned off:
- Manitowac commercial ice machine and bin.
- Imperial electric stack oven.
- Imperial six-burner gas range and oven.
- Victory reach-in coolers, and freezers.
- LA-Cinbali M26 espresso machine.
- Hobart under counter glass dish washer.
There are several smaller items, including chef knives, cooking utensils, server aprons, trash cans and a hostess desk. Everything not physically attached to the building must be auctioned off under state law, Hallstrand said.

The auction’s terms of sale include a 12% buyer premium, added to the sale price, along with 6% state sales tax and $50 local option. A $1,000 deposit in cash or the equivalent must be made by purchasers, with the balance due by 4 p.m. the day of the sale. The purchaser will have 10 days to remove their purchases from the restaurant.
