Lakeland police are investigating a shooting that left one person hospitalized with a gunshot wound.
At 9:25 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to the area of 1035 North Ohio Avenue to find a 23-year-old shot in their lower extremities.
Police said the victim was shot by an unknown person.
The victim was taken to Lakeland Regional Health with a non-life-threatening injury.
Despite their investigation so far, no one has come forward as a witness to identify the shooter. The police department said their detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
No further details have been released.
