In North Lakeland, Florida’s Light and Life Park suffered tremendous damage from Hurricane Milton. The park is a Senior retirement community, an affiliate of the Free Methodist Church. https://lightandlifepark.org
The community has 269 residences and an RV area. Most of the residents are retired pastors and missionaries. Hurricane Milton caused about 2-5 feet of water incursion in about 170 residences.
Residents, families, and volunteers are working hard to try to recover and remediate the mold danger, but we could use all the manpower available. We have had work teams from many local churches, colleges, and individuals, as well as out-of-town work teams from many other states, as far away as Washington state.
FEMA has been in the park trying to help as many people as possible, and other charitable organizations have sent workers, meals, and funds. We could still use as much manpower as possible, and we have a benevolence fund established for contributions, https://llfmc.org.
