One person is dead after a crash on State Road-570 in Lakeland, the Florida Highway Patrol announced.
On Wednesday, troopers were dispatched to SR-570 eastbound near mile-marker 11 around 2:15 a.m..
According to FHP, a box truck collided with the back of a semi-truck, causing the box truck to catch fire.
The box truck driver died from their injuries at the site of the crash and has not been identified. The semi-truck driver, a 51-year-old man from Tampa, was not hurt in the crash.
The road reopened later Wednesday morning.
