A Polk County drug bust has left the Fudge family in serious legal trouble after a search warrant led to the discovery of illegal drugs, ammunition, and child endangerment concerns.
On March 20, 2025, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Special Investigations executed a search warrant at a residence in Auburndale as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Upon arrival, deputies ordered the occupants to exit the home. Matthew Fudge, Misty Fudge, Andrew Fudge, and Amanda Colon were detained, along with three minors who were also inside the residence.
During the search, detectives found methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills without valid prescriptions, and drug paraphernalia throughout the home. Matthew Fudge, a convicted felon, was also found to be in possession of ammunition, which is illegal due to his prior convictions.
Investigators say the presence of drugs in the home created a dangerous environment for the children, leading to additional charges for child endangerment. Deputies also noted that some of the suspects resisted arrest and were slow to comply with verbal commands.
All four adults were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a structure for drug use, and contributing to the dependency of a child. Additional charges include possession of ammunition by a convicted felon for Matthew Fudge and resisting arrest for Misty Fudge.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not ruled out further charges.
