Discount grocer Aldi has set the opening date for its third Lakeland store.
The newly converted grocery store at 6902 S. Florida Ave. will open Thursday at 9 a.m., according to a news release. The store’s daily hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
To celebrate its opening, the first 100 customers will receive a gift bag filled with samples of Aldi-exclusive products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket giveaway program.
Shoppers can also enter sweepstakes for a $500 Aldi gift card through the opening weekend.
“At our new Lakeland Aldi store, shoppers will find that every decision we make, from our product selection to store layout, is to provide our customers with the best products at the lowest possible prices of any national grocer,” Matt Thon, regional vice president, said. “Our customers can save up to 36 (percent) on an average household’s shopping list. As shoppers look for better ways to stretch their dollar, Aldi is providing Lakeland with easier access to quality groceries at affordable prices.”
This latest store opening brings Aldi one step closer to achieving its goal of opening 800 stores nationwide by the end of 2028, the news release said.
