Why are our elected officials acting like two-year-olds? They make the law of the land in Pok County, period. They could fix Polk County Animal Control if they wanted to. But they are so afraid of Grandy Judd, why is he just a man?

The authorities and responsibilities of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners include:
- Adopting ordinances and resolutions to establish public policy
- Levying authorized taxes and fees
- Planning and adopting a budget each fiscal year
- Appointing a chair and vice chair at the annual organizational meeting in November
- Providing county services and infrastructure, including determining the amount and sources of funding for each
- Appointing, supervising, and removing the county manager and county attorney
- Approving expenditures of county funds
- Entering into contracts and agreements
- Appointing individuals to serve on various boards and committees established by state law, or by the Board of County Commissioners.

Adopting ordinances and resolutions is part of their job! They could help the situation in Polk County! Stop passing the buck! Do your job.
Let all of us remember them when they come up for reelection. They have all shown how very little they care about the animals at the Polk County Shelter. They’ve shown their true faces through their sheer arrogance.
Wow. Her comments are bogus. They refuse to release line item budget and expenditures.
She is also ‘making light’ of the deplorable conditions and suffering.
Her peicileged nose could NOT handle the smell that reeks from that place.
What a tool and a sham.
Seems very clear these Commissioners are afraid of Grady. Sad failure of government- there are separate branches for a reason, a system of checks and balances as our forefathers intended. Something is wrong when they clearly state that there is only one man in charge that can create change. We all love Judd but let’s remember – absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Well, not all of us.
These commissioners are not working for the people. They act like elite’s.. only in their own minds
Vote them all out!
