A petition on Change.org is calling on the Lakeland-based Publix Super Markets grocery chain to reverse its decision to allow customers to openly carry firearms inside its Florida stores.
The petition, created earlier in October, is titled “Tell Publix: Reverse Open Carry Policy in Florida Stores.” As of Oct. 27, it had over 8,000 verified signatures.
