A PCSO deputy was conducting traffic enforcement on I-4 near Polk City on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
At around 10:40 pm, the deputy observed a black BMW motorcycle traveling at a very high rate of speed, dangerously weaving through traffic.
The deputy’s radar measured the bike’s speed at 113 mph, in a 70 mph zone.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the deputy made contact with the motorcycle operator, 41-year-old Odalys Darelis Roman of Orlando.
Ms. Roman said that she was on her way home and was attempting to pass the vehicles in order to avoid a collision.
She requested the deputy to only give her a warning.
Odalys Roman was arrested and taken to the Sheriff’s Processing Center and charged with Reckless Driving (M2) and Dangerous Excessive Speeding (M2).
Her motorcycle was towed from the scene.
I sure wish they’d do some traffic enforcement in Polk neighborhoods. As it is now most drivers have absolutely NO FEAR as they blast through ours at 15-20 over the posted limit. Oh, and by the way – have you absolved yourselves of enforcing FS 316,.293?
