The South Eastside Drive road closure has been extended until Tuesday, Dec. 9.
All lanes on South Eastside Drive between Timberlane East and State Road 659 in Lakeland will be closed until drainage improvements are completed. The roadway is expected to reopen at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
The closure is part of an ongoing Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project for drainage improvements throughout the area.
Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
