This afternoon, Kitty Cat Lounge stepped out into the community with @travisdoodles and Worth and Purpose at their beautiful new Main Street location — and together, with other community members, we helped serve lunch to over 100 folks and families. 
Our son, amazing KCL volunteers, and I spent the early afternoon sharing meals, handing out clothes and shoes, and watching neighbors get fresh haircuts that made them shine. 
It’s important to remember that anyone can experience homelessness. We met parents, seniors, young adults, and entire families — all doing their best to get through each day.
Today, some of the biggest reasons people become homeless include:
Housing costs skyrocketing far beyond wages
Unmet mental health needs and limited access to care
Rapid population growth that outpaces available housing
Low wages that make stability nearly impossible
We’re so grateful to @travisdoodles and Worth and Purpose for the heart-filled work they do every day, and honored to lend our paws and hearts whenever we can.
