Lakeland Fire Department responded to a brush fire in a wooded area near Oakbridge Boulevard and Oak Park Drive this afternoon. LFD crews, along with Polk County Fire Rescue and the Florida Forest Service, worked to contain the fire. No injuries or structural damage were reported.
Reminder: Conditions remain very dry, and Lakeland is still under a burn ban. This includes bonfires, campfires, and fireworks. Outdoor burning can spread quickly in dry conditions, putting lives and property at risk.
