Florida Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia visited Polk County on Wednesday to deliver checks to Florida sheriffs for immigration enforcement.
The CFO gave checks to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco, Port Richey Police Chief Ruggiero, and Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Major Brown
Judd said they were reimbursed for booking and several operating costs.
The CFO also spoke about Florida’s immigration enforcement policies.
Judd said his agency has arrested 557 immigrants living in the U.S. since the beginning of the year.
