Vehicle 1, a Lexus SUV, driven by a 52-year-old Palm Harbor man, was traveling eastbound on SR-570. Near Milepost 5, the driver removed his seatbelt to reach for an item on the passenger side of the vehicle. The distraction caused the driver to leave the roadway and collide with the center median guardrail. The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
