Please be on the “lookout” for a new photo album on our Facebook page. This is the location we will be featuring Lost/Stray pets. We hope to see them redeemed.
The images will include some basic information about where the pet was found, and the pet’s basic information, as much as we know.
We cannot build a photo album on Instagram, so if you follow us there, please go to our FB page for these images and information about the pets in the album.
Several of you suggested this option, and we’re excited to see if it can make a difference. If the pets are not redeemed, they will be offered for adoption, or we will work with our community partners to secure a rescue group.
We’re depending on our friends and followers to help us.
Wow! Congratulations, PCAC. This is an important step forward.
Progress matters — and this is a moment worth recognizing.
But our work isn’t finished.
For the sake of the animals, we must keep moving toward real, lasting improvement:
a new facility away from the landfill, designed with the care, space, and life-saving programs our most vulnerable animals deserve.
Polk County, Florida is growing. With new families come new pets — and greater responsibility.
Together, we can do better.
Together, we can become a no-kill community.

There needs to be a better way – some people (myself included) see social media as toxic and to be avoided at all costs. If the animal is chipped – maybe try a phone call? Hmmmm?
Thank you for taking this first step
