There’s so much I want to say about this, but I’m going to keep it short & simple, as I’m still upset about what happened to this DUMPED DOMESTIC PEKIN!!
This pekin boy was in a hole (wedged between this brick wall & sod) @ Lake Morton! He was incredibly dehydrated, severely injured, & I do not know how long he’s had been in this state. After assessing him, I couldn’t leave him there to die (unable to walk at all). I drove 2 hours round trip to get him to a location that I knew would help him. He’s where he needs to be now, & I’m thankful that my friend Sally Stephens spotted him, b4 I did (we were admiring 2 swans building a nest) & she thought this pekin was nesting. Sadly, he was not! I’m thankful I had the right supplies on hand.
IF ANYONE would like to donate to my rescue/firstaid efforts, I know the MANY DUMPED DOMESTIC ducks, waterfowl & wildlife would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! Transportation funds (gas+tolls), Feed, & more are needed! Thank you kindly!
