What are policies for if they don’t even abide by their own set policies? This dog had a broken leg. Where was the rescue pull plea? They have a vet on staff! What about medical care and THEN a rescue plea? What about dial care and holding for the stray hold to see if a family comes forward?
Things like this are why people are criticizing and petitioning for change at Polk County Animal Control.
This dog was stated to be healthy, except for a leg break, which is fixable and treatable. Yet she was killed.
Unless there was some other circumstance that wasn’t apparent, which would make quality of life impossible, this is inhumane.
