As the winner of the 2025/26 Beth Mason Young Artist Competition, Davenport is not only performing as a soloist but was also awarded a $3,000 scholarship for her musical excellence.

About the Artist
Kennedy is a versatile powerhouse in the Lakeland community. Beyond her vocal training at Harrison, she is known for her leadership and athleticism:
- Scholar-Athlete: A varsity softball pitcher for Lakeland High School, she has committed to play for Edward Waters University on a partial scholarship.
- Community Leader: She has completed over 10,000 volunteer hours, including mentoring with Girls Inc. of Lakeland and advocating for arts funding in Tallahassee.
- Resilience: Recognized by her mentors for her drive and maturity, she has balanced a rigorous arts curriculum with high-level sports and community service.
Note: While she shares a name with the famous drag performer and RuPaul’s Drag Race star, this Kennedy Davenport is a rising star from Lakeland’s own Harrison School for the Arts!
