Tragic story. A 29-year-old motorcyclist from Plant City, identified by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office as Justin Fuller, was killed on Saturday night, March 7, 2026.
The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on County Line Road and Gateway Boulevard, just west of Lakeland near the Lakeland Linder International Airport.
Details of the Crash
- Initial Incident: Fuller was riding a Harley-Davidson northbound when he lost control and crashed for unknown reasons. Investigators noted there was no initial evidence that another vehicle caused his motorcycle to go down.
- The Collision: The crash ejected Fuller approximately 75 feet into the southbound lanes. While he was in the roadway, he was struck by two separate vehicles.
- Cooperation: The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene and are cooperating with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
- Investigation: Deputies found a helmet near Fuller’s body, but they are still investigating whether he was wearing it at the moment of the crash.
County Line Road was closed for approximately four hours while the Traffic Homicide Unit processed the scene. The investigation into what caused him to lose control of the motorcycle is still ongoing.
