  1. Polk County’s animal PRISON is definitely depressing. Vote the self-serving bums out.

  2. I went there two days ago to adopt a dog. All the dogs were sad, shaking or sleeping. My heart broke for every single one of those dogs. The one I took home was on medicine for an upper respiratory infection. He’s been off of it for a day and is still coughing. The place was very overwhelming and the wait time to just adopt one dog is outrageous. Two families left because of just how long they had to wait that could’ve been two dogs that could have been saved, but because of the wait time, many people left and went to other shelters. We were there for over four hours.

  3. Half of the facility is always closed … and it is always filthy … so sad. I have never seen the dogs drugged, but they definitely are in this video, and it doesnt surprise me. The Sheriff treats the dogs just as bad as the human inmates are treated in this county.
