Ingredients

• 1 packet powdered pectin
• ¼ cup water
Instructions
Rinse blackberries thoroughly, then transfer to a large pot
Lightly mash using a potato masher to release juices
Add jalapeños, lemon juice, and water
Stir to combine
Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring frequently
Add powdered pectin and whisk until fully dissolved
Increase heat and bring to a full rolling boil
Add sugar all at once, stirring constantly
Boil hard for 1–2 minutes, stirring to prevent sticking
Remove from heat and skim off any foam if needed
Carefully pour hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving a little headspace
Seal jars and let cool, or process in a water bath for longer storage
