Central Florida Health Care officially opened its second Mulberry location to patients on May 7, 2026

Central Florida Health Care officially opened its second Mulberry location to patients on May 7, 2026. This expansion marks the organization’s 18th location overall and brings a significant increase in specialized care to the South Lakeland and Mulberry corridor.

Here is a breakdown of what the new expansion brings to the area:

The New Location (1010 N. Church Ave.)

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on May 20 to celebrate the fully renovated 13,862-square-foot facility, which formerly housed a Pentagon Federal Credit Union. This site is now the hub for adult primary and specialty care, including:

  • Specialty Services: Endocrinology, podiatry, optometry, rheumatology, behavioral health, and dermatology (expected within the next year).
  • Infusion Center: A dedicated on-site rheumatology infusion center featuring comfortable seating and lighting panels designed to mirror a blue sky.
  • Expanded Pharmacy: It houses the largest pharmacy in the entire Central Florida Health Care system, offering both walk-in and drive-through services.
  • Diagnostics: On-site labs and X-rays.

The Existing Location (106 NW 9th Ave.)

The original Mulberry location, built in 2014, is not closing. Instead, it is shifting its focus to serve younger patients and women’s health needs. It will continue to provide:

  • Pediatric medical care
  • Pediatric and adult dental services (with an expansion of dental services planned)
  • OB-GYN and women’s services

By splitting the services between two buildings, Central Florida Health Care aims to reduce treatment delays for chronic illnesses and provide a true “patient-centered medical home” for the rapidly growing population in the region.
