Emma Armstrong, Harrison Musical Theatre alumna (Class of 2026), has been honored as Best Vocalist at the 2026 Jimmy Awards in NYC, recognizing her excellence in vocal performance and technique.

Emma’s journey to the national stage began at the Broadway Star of the Future Awards, where she earned Best Actress and was selected to represent South West Florida at the Jimmy Awards in New York City for her portrayal of Kate in the school’s 2025–2026 all-school musical production of Kiss Me, Kate. Among 116 performers from across the country, she was chosen to participate in a highly selective character medley performance group.

While only eight finalists advanced to the final round of competition, additional “Best in Show” honors were awarded to performers who stood out to the judging panel. Emma was recognized as Best Vocalist, highlighting her exceptional artistry and vocal command among the nation’s top high school performers.

Emma will continue her training this fall at the University of Florida, where she will pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre.
