We are making some changes to how we price our NEW ITEMS, and we would be grateful if you joined us.
Inklings Book Shoppe has contracts with all of the major publishing companies, which have allowed us to always offer 20% off NEW books and merchandise. Unfortunately, shipping and logistical costs have drastically risen over the past year, to the point where we can no longer offer our 20% discount and pay the bills.
So, we have come up with a solution we believe will benefit everyone! Starting September 1st, for an annual $20 membership, you can still enjoy a 20% discount off all NEW books and merchandise, plus get a special Inklings Member sticker and first pick at freebies. This membership more than pays for itself after a few books and it’s an opportunity to support a local business during a difficult season.
Here’s a full breakdown of our store’s pricing model starting September 1st:
• NEW ITEMS are priced based on true retail value as determined by the manufacturer/publisher. Customers can now sign up for an annual membership ($20 a year) to receive a base discount of 20% off all new items. Customers can also use store credit to discount new items up to an additional 20% off.
• PRE-OWNED ITEMS (pre-cuddled) are priced based on the lowest market value. We guarantee a 100% price match on used items. Customers can use store credit to discount used items up to 80% off.
• ANTIQUES & COLLECTIBLES are priced based on true market value. Customers can use store credit to discount antique/collectible items up to 20% off.
• CONSIGNMENT prices are set by the consignee and not eligible for discounts or store credits.
Most Okayest Bookstore Membership $20.00
Thank you to our wonderful, beautiful community for the love and support. We could not exist without you, and wouldn’t want to anyway! Please let us know how we can improve and continue to serve Lakeland for years to come.
u da best!
