We finally received a response from the City of Lakeland/Lakeland Police Department regarding the roundabout at Waring Road & Drane Field Road (SR 572).
And there’s one number that immediately stood out:

This roundabout officially opened to traffic on November 24, 2025.
According to the response we received, from the time the roundabout opened through today, there have been 38 traffic crashes at this intersection.
