Researchers in Georgia put cameras on cats in TNR colonies. They spent LESS THAN 1% of their time hunting. 
And when cats do catch something, it’s usually rats or lizards. Birds can FLY. Rats can’t. 
Has a cat ever killed a bird? Sure.
But cats roaming around all day wiping out birds? Come on.
