They will be replacing Pa’Las Miches on N Combee Road.

Cocos Locos Mexican Restaurant is preparing to open at 1313 N Combee Road, Lakeland, FL 33801, bringing a full-service Mexican restaurant and bar with a focus on seafood, owner Kris Cavazos told Business Debut.
What to Expect
Cocos Locos will offer a full sit-down dining room and bar with seating for about 176 guests. The space was previously Pa’Las Miches Bar and Grill and has been remodeled under the new name.
During the day and evening, Cavazos described a family-friendly restaurant atmosphere, with a shift to a late-night gathering spot on weekends for guests coming from the neighboring Corral Event Center nightclub.
A key feature will be the use of real coconuts as tableware. Cavazos shared with Business Debut that they plan to split coconuts in half and use them as plates for some seafood dishes and cups for cocktails.
The menu will center on authentic Mexican food along with a broad seafood section. Offerings will include aguachiles, seafood cocktails, and fried fish.
Cavazos said the team is currently testing recipes to reach the flavors they want before opening.
Opening Timeline
Cavazos said the team is targeting an opening within less than a month from the October 27 interview date.

Tuesday — Thursday: 11 a.m. — 10 p.m.
Friday — Saturday: 11 a.m. — 3 a.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. — midnight
Weekend late-night hours are designed to serve guests before and after events at Corral Event Center next door, Cavazos said.
