At 10:27 p.m., Bartow Fire & Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a reported vehicle collision involving a Yamaha R1 in the area of New Connersville Road & 80 Foot Road. Dispatch reported there are injuries of two occupants that were riding the motorcycle and road blockages. Responding units are requesting a helicopter on standby.
Expect prolonged road closures and emergency vehicles in the area as units begin to arrive on scene to investigate this collision. The other vehicle has not yet been identified at this time.
