Over the past several days, we had the opportunity to interview candidates for our next City Manager. I want to recognize SGR, the firm we hired to assist with our search. They did a fantastic job guiding us through this process!
Something that really stood out to me during the interviews was that every candidate, whether from Florida or out of state, recognized the importance of securing Mulberry’s future water supply.
That speaks volumes! Water is one of the most important issues facing our city, and hearing that shared understanding reinforced just how critical it is to plan for the years ahead.
I’m pleased to share that Brenn Hines has been selected as Mulberry’s next City Manager! Our next step is contract negotiations, and we hope to have everything finalized within the next month.
I’m looking forward to this next chapter for Mulberry! We have important decisions ahead, and I want to see our city continue moving forward with thoughtful planning, responsible leadership, and a clear vision for the future.
The decisions we make today will shape the Mulberry we leave for future generations!
Huge thank you to Janie Ayala and the entire City of Mulberry, FL Government, staff for keeping our city running smoothly throughout the City Manager search. Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. You all are amazing!
Thank you, PastorGreg Wilkerson with First Baptist Church of Mulberry, FL, for joining us at our City Commission meeting and opening our meeting in prayer. We appreciate you taking the time to be with us!
