The Southeastern University men’s cross country team had a solid showing at the University of Florida Mountain Dew Invitational.
SEU placed 16th overall with all 15 teams ahead of them either NCAA Division I or Division II teams. The team had an average 8K time of 28:30.
Senior Mario Perez once again paced the SEU pack, placing 70th overall in a time of 27:42. Junior Jordan Gonzalez was 92nd overall with a time of 28:00.
John Perez-Dunn was 112th in a time of 28:28, and was followed by Christopher Pinedo in 28:55, placing 129th. Alan Romero rounded out the scoring in 153rd overall in a time of 29:26. Freshman Stephen Ward was just two seconds behind Romero.
In two weeks, the Fire will compete again at Holloway Park in Lakeland as part of the FL Runners Invitational.
