South Florida Avenue remains closed between Highland Drive and Alamo Drive, but traffic is flowing more smoothly in other areas south of the Polk Parkway following a serious accident this afternoon. Backups remain on Old 37, but Harden Boulevard and Cleveland Heights Boulevard look clear. The accident reportedly involves a motorcycle and another vehicle. Lakeland police say they’ll have more details later.
