The Florida Southern College men’s golf program is ranked No. 2 in the country in the first Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll of the season, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America today. The Mocs garnered two first-place votes en route to earning 452 points.
Sunshine State Conference foe Lynn University sits atop the poll with 467 total points, including 11 first-place votes. West Florida rests in third, with 412 total points, including three first-place votes. Barry University and Saint Leo University round out the Top Five.
Under the direction of second-year head coach Lee White, the Mocs have participated in two events so far this fall. The Mocs opened at the Division I heavy Doc Gimmler Invitational, hosted by St. John’s University, and placed sixth, followed by a second-place finish in the Columbus State Cougar Invitational.
The Mocs will return to action on Oct. 14-15, at the West Florida Copperhead Championship.
