Senior goalkeeper Logan Whitney has been voted The Sun Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as voted by the league office this afternoon.
Whitney recorded seven saves in the 2-0 win over Keiser, helping the Fire remain undefeated in conference play. Whitney has been key in the Fire’s 508 straight minutes without allowing a goal, notching two shutouts in that span. He leads the conference in goals against average at 0.64.
This is the first time Whitney has won this honor.
The No. 13 Fire take the field again on Wednesday, October 9th at 7 p.m. when they visit Warner.
