Florida Southern College women’s basketball s set to take on Division I powerhouse Florida State at 2 p.m. on Sunday in an exhibition contest at the Donald L. Tucker Center. The Moccasins and Seminoles are both coming off NCAA Postseason appearances a year ago, with Florida Southern advancing to a South Region final and FSU advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division I Tournament.

MOCCASIN STORYLINES
• Florida Southern will head to Tallahassee for the first time in more than 30 years when it faces Florida State in an exhibition contest on Sunday.
• The Moccasins and Seminoles have squared off once on the hardwood, a 97-58 triumph for FSU on Feb. 7, 1980.
• Florida Southern is coming off yet another pair of Sunshine State Conference titles, winning both the SSC regular-season and tournament titles in 2018-19. The Mocs advanced to the NCAA Division II South Region final last season before falling to Nova Southeastern.
• The Seminoles, who went 24-9 last season, are coming off another NCAA Division I Tournament appearance, their 18th overall and seventh in a row. Florida State advanced to the second round before being bounced by South Carolina.
• Florida Southern head coach Betsy Harris faced the Seminoles twice as a standout guard at Alabama. Harris and the Crimson Tide lost to FSC, 88-65, during her freshman year in 1990-91, but exacted revenge with an 87-33 stomping in 1993-94, when Harris helped lead Alabama to a Final Four appearance.
• The Moccasins face a tall task in 2019-20 as they will have to replace a pair of all-Americans in Anja Fuchs-Robetin and Camille Giardina. The standout duo was responsible for 48.1 percent (1,261) of Florida Southern’s 2,623 points. Fuchs-Robetin (8th) and Giardina (3rd) ended their careers ranked in the top 10 in school history in career scoring.
