Polk State won its first match of the NJCAA Regional/FCSAA State Volleyball Tournament, defeating Santa Fe College 3-0 this morning in Jacksonville.
The Eagles looked rested and ready after a two-week layoff.
“Absolutely,” said Head Coach German Del Valle. “I think we missed playing.
“I’m proud of my kids. We had to make some changes in the lineup and it worked. We just came here to be who we are, and we are Polk! “
The Eagles (No. 1 FCSAA, No. 2 NJCAA) play Central Florida, which beat Daytona State 3-0, at 5 p.m.
