Mariane Cassiano, Suared Molina, and Aixa Vigil of Polk State were named to the All-Tournament Team yesterday at the end of the NJCAAA District/FCSAA State Division 1 Volleyball Tournament in Jacksonville, Fla.
The three players helped the Eagles (22-3) win two of four matches at the three-day tournament and advance to the NJCAA Regional Volleyball Division 1 Tournament on November 8 in Ocala, Fla.
Cassiano, a sophomore from Rio Janeiro, Brazil, had 49 kills, 48 digs, and seven blocks in four matches.
A freshman from Arecibo, PR, Molina made 81 digs and nine aces in 16 sets.
Vigil, a sophomore from Lima, Peru, tallied 68 kills and 60 digs over the course of the tournament.
